The Wardrobe Story — The Story of a Piece
“I’ve always been searching for a long-sleeve T-shirt that looks complete on its own, yet blends naturally with the shirts and outerwear I already own.”
Born from this idea, the IROS L/S T-shirt strikes the perfect balance between substantial thickness and a soft, comfortable touch. It maintains a reassuring silhouette when worn on its own, while seamlessly fitting under your favorite flannel shirts or jackets. From the neckline to the cuffs, its clean lines remain smooth without bulk, adding refinement to any layered look.
The Color Story — The Story Hidden in the Hue
“A piece that brings the rustic tone of earth into a cool, wearable style.”
Through a natural dyeing process that blends yellow ochre and earthy browns, this mustard shade emerges with a grounded yet refined character. With its sturdy fabric weight, it stands as the centerpiece of an outfit when worn alone. The subdued, earthy color works as a tasteful accent without being overly vivid.
As the garment is washed and worn, the color matures beautifully—shifting from a warm, inviting impression to a rich, weathered earth tone. Each piece is carefully hand-dyed, one by one, with time and attention to detail.
We invite you to enjoy the journey of “growing with the garment” and to make it a piece you cherish for years to come.

– What We Value –
At IROS DYEING, our hand-dyed creations celebrate the beauty of colors born from nature.
Using natural dyes such as bengara (iron-rich clay), soot, and Indian indigo, we pursue the ideal hues through repeated testing, carefully dyeing each piece one by one. Every color that emerges carries a unique expression—no two are ever the same.
We also carefully select fabrics that are best suited for dyeing, ensuring that even after the process, the garments maintain a soft touch and high durability. Each piece is made to accompany you in daily life while gaining depth and character as the years go by.
In addition, our brand labels and embroidery are entrusted to skilled artisans working on Okinawa’s main island. Walking together with our local community is an essential part of who we are.
Moving forward, we remain committed to creating pieces that stand in contrast to mass production and fleeting trends. With the spirit of our local makers at heart, we strive to deliver authentic works that will be cherished for years to come.

■ "Soot Dyeing"
A dye made from ink created by burning pine wood.
Soot is carbon produced through the incomplete combustion of organic matter — the same material used for traditional sumi ink.
We use a dye made by mixing pine soot with natural glue.
By blending it into a small amount of water and kneading it thoroughly into the fabric, we create a rich, expressive shade of ink black.
The kneading process with the smoked soot brings out a deep and nuanced tone.
■ About Delivery Time
As each item is hand-dyed after receiving your order, please allow 3–4 weeks for shipping.
Delays may occur due to weather or peak season conditions. Thank you for your understanding.
■ Notes
-
Because each item is dyed by hand, there may be slight variations in size, color, or texture from the product photos. We hope you’ll enjoy these as part of the product’s unique charm.
-
As dyeing begins after your order is placed, please allow about 1–2 weeks for production before shipping.
-
When washing, please follow the instructions below:
-
If stains or dirt appear, rinse immediately with water or soapy water before drying. You can also gently blot with a damp towel or tissue.
Do not scrub with soap or detergent, as it may cause color fading. -
For machine washing, we recommend placing the item in a laundry net. For hand washing, use lukewarm water with a small amount of detergent and wash gently to help preserve the color longer.
-
To prevent color transfer, wash separately from other garments for the first few washes.
