— The Wardrobe Story — The Tale of a Garment

“I had long been searching for a long-sleeve T-shirt that looks effortlessly put-together on its own, yet blends naturally with the shirts and outerwear I already own.”
Born from this desire, the IROS long-sleeve T-shirt combines moderate thickness with a comfortable, pleasant texture. It maintains a silhouette you can feel confident in when worn alone, while also fitting seamlessly as an inner layer beneath your flannel shirts or jackets. From the neckline to the cuffs, its refined lines prevent bulkiness, adding sophistication to any layered style.

— The Color Story — The Tale Behind the Hue

“A solid gray that elevates everyday life with a modern edge.”
Created by layering soot from pine trees with natural starch, this traditional soot-dyeing technique produces a depth of shading that goes far beyond ordinary gray. The garment maintains a beautiful line when worn alone, while also staying smart and sleek in layered outfits without adding unnecessary volume. Perfectly suited for minimalist all-black styles or as an accent piece, it grows in character the more you wear it—revealing an “edgy” silhouette that continues to stand out over time.

– What We Value –

At IROS DYEING, our hand-dyed creations celebrate the beauty of colors born from nature.
Using natural dyes such as bengara (iron-rich clay), soot, and Indian indigo, we pursue the ideal hues through repeated testing, carefully dyeing each piece one by one. Every color that emerges carries a unique expression—no two are ever the same.

We also carefully select fabrics that are best suited for dyeing, ensuring that even after the process, the garments maintain a soft touch and high durability. Each piece is made to accompany you in daily life while gaining depth and character as the years go by.

In addition, our brand labels and embroidery are entrusted to skilled artisans working on Okinawa’s main island. Walking together with our local community is an essential part of who we are.

Moving forward, we remain committed to creating pieces that stand in contrast to mass production and fleeting trends. With the spirit of our local makers at heart, we strive to deliver authentic works that will be cherished for years to come.

『Susu‑zome (Soot Dyeing)』
A dye made from soot produced by burning pine. “Soot” is carbon formed by the incomplete combustion of organic material and serves as the base for traditional ink. We mix pine‑soot pigment with natural starch paste to create the dye. Dissolve a small amount in water, knead thoroughly, and you’ll achieve a rich, expressive black. By kneading the smoked soot into the fabric, you can enjoy its deep, layered hues.

◾️ Lead Time
Since we hand‑dye every piece after an order is placed, please allow 3–4 weeks for shipping. Delays may occur due to inclement weather or peak seasons. Thank you for your understanding.

◾️ Care Instructions
※ Each item is hand‑dyed, so slight variations in measurements, unevenness, or color tone compared to product photos may occur. We hope you enjoy these nuances as part of its charm.

※ When washing, please note the following:

1 If stains or dirt appear, rinse immediately with water or soapy water before drying, or gently blot with a damp towel or tissue. Avoid scrubbing, as this may cause color loss.

2 For machine washing, we recommend placing items in a laundry net. For hand washing, gently wash in lukewarm water with a small amount of detergent to help preserve the color.

3 To prevent color transfer, wash separately from other garments for the first few washes.
