This blanket is designed to be used all year round—for the beach, bath time, camping, as a lap blanket, or even as a lightweight quilt.
Made primarily for saunas, the Peshtemal is a traditional Turkish cotton textile. Each piece is carefully finished by Turkish artisans using traditional looms and handwork. Crafted from soft gauze fabric, it is lightweight, highly absorbent, and quick-drying, making it perfect for a wide variety of settings—even when wet.
Compact enough to carry in your bag, it also works perfectly as a throw blanket during cooler seasons.
For parents, it’s a versatile essential—serving as a sunshade, blanket, nursing cover, swaddle, or towel. Even in winter, it dries quickly indoors in about two hours thanks to its excellent quick-dry properties.
Made from durable cotton, it can be washed frequently and used daily with confidence.

– What We Value –
At IROS DYEING, our hand-dyed creations celebrate the beauty of colors born from nature.
Using natural dyes such as bengara (iron-rich clay), soot, and Indian indigo, we pursue the ideal hues through repeated testing, carefully dyeing each piece one by one. Every color that emerges carries a unique expression—no two are ever the same.
We also carefully select fabrics that are best suited for dyeing, ensuring that even after the process, the garments maintain a soft touch and high durability. Each piece is made to accompany you in daily life while gaining depth and character as the years go by.
In addition, our brand labels and embroidery are entrusted to skilled artisans working on Okinawa’s main island. Walking together with our local community is an essential part of who we are.
Moving forward, we remain committed to creating pieces that stand in contrast to mass production and fleeting trends. With the spirit of our local makers at heart, we strive to deliver authentic works that will be cherished for years to come.

『Aijō‑zome (Indigo Pellet Dyeing)』
Aijō‑zome is a novel indigo dyeing technique that uses “aijō”—the pigment obtained by fermenting and precipitating fresh indigo leaves—dissolved in water for dyeing. Unlike traditional indigo dyeing, it requires no fermentation vats and brings out the fabric’s natural, soft tones. By combining it with “bengara,” a natural red‑clay pigment, you can achieve everything from fresh sky blues to deep indigos, showcasing a stunning spectrum of hues.
『Indian Indigo』
Indian indigo is a natural dye extracted from “komatsunagi,” a leguminous plant grown in South India. From cultivation through production, every step is done by hand, resulting in a deep, vibrant blue. This carefully crafted indigo evokes the warmth and richness of nature.

When washing, please follow the instructions below:
-
If stains or dirt appear, rinse immediately with water or soapy water before drying. You can also gently blot with a damp towel or tissue.
Do not scrub with soap or detergent, as it may cause color fading. -
For machine washing, we recommend placing the item in a laundry net. For hand washing, use lukewarm water with a small amount of detergent and wash gently to help preserve the color longer.
-
To prevent color transfer, wash separately from other garments for the first few washes.
