The Wardrobe Story ― A Piece with a Story

“Growing closer to you with every passing moment.”

A timeless six-panel silhouette, elevated by the depth and nuance unique to natural indigo dyeing.
For those who seek more than the ordinary, this piece carries shades and gradations that mass production can never replicate—each one entirely its own.
Lightweight comfort meets a secure fit with the adjustable strap, making it effortless to wear.
With every use, the character of indigo intertwines with your own, creating a harmony between self and shade.

The Color Story ― The Tale Within the Hue

Unlike the flat uniformity of industrial blues, natural indigo reveals a deep, luminous richness.
For centuries, indigo has been cherished as a “living color,” one that evolves with time, gaining character and soul as it is worn.
It lends depth and resonance to even the simplest monochrome styling.
Indigo is more than just a color—it is a story that grows with you.

– What We Value –

At IROS DYEING, our hand-dyed creations celebrate the beauty of colors born from nature.
Using natural dyes such as bengara (iron-rich clay), soot, and Indian indigo, we pursue the ideal hues through repeated testing, carefully dyeing each piece one by one. Every color that emerges carries a unique expression—no two are ever the same.

We also carefully select fabrics that are best suited for dyeing, ensuring that even after the process, the garments maintain a soft touch and high durability. Each piece is made to accompany you in daily life while gaining depth and character as the years go by.

In addition, our brand labels and embroidery are entrusted to skilled artisans working on Okinawa’s main island. Walking together with our local community is an essential part of who we are.

Moving forward, we remain committed to creating pieces that stand in contrast to mass production and fleeting trends. With the spirit of our local makers at heart, we strive to deliver authentic works that will be cherished for years to come.

『Aijō‑zome (Indigo Pellet Dyeing)』
Aijō‑zome is a novel indigo dyeing technique that uses “aijō”—the pigment obtained by fermenting and precipitating fresh indigo leaves—dissolved in water for dyeing. Unlike traditional indigo dyeing, it requires no fermentation vats and brings out the fabric’s natural, soft tones. By combining it with “bengara,” a natural red‑clay pigment, you can achieve everything from fresh sky blues to deep indigos, showcasing a stunning spectrum of hues.

『Indian Indigo』
Indian indigo is a natural dye extracted from “komatsunagi,” a leguminous plant grown in South India. From cultivation through production, every step is done by hand, resulting in a deep, vibrant blue. This carefully crafted indigo evokes the warmth and richness of nature.

◾️ Lead Time
Since we hand‑dye every piece after an order is placed, please allow 3–4 weeks for shipping. Delays may occur due to inclement weather or peak seasons. Thank you for your understanding.

◾️ Care Instructions
※ Each item is hand‑dyed, so slight variations in measurements, unevenness, or color tone compared to product photos may occur. We hope you enjoy these nuances as part of its charm.

※ When washing, please note the following:

1 If stains or dirt appear, rinse immediately with water or soapy water before drying, or gently blot with a damp towel or tissue. Avoid scrubbing, as this may cause color loss.

2 For machine washing, we recommend placing items in a laundry net. For hand washing, gently wash in lukewarm water with a small amount of detergent to help preserve the color.

3 To prevent color transfer, wash separately from other garments for the first few washes.
