『IROS DYEINGを築くことになった、2つの原点』

1つのグラブが教えてくれた「モノを育てる価値」（1996〜2012）

まず１つ目は小学1年生のとき、両親に初めて買ってもらった野球のグラブにあります。
「日本一になりたい」との思いで、大学卒業まで16年間打ち込んだ野球生活の中心には、いつもそのグラブがありました。

泥だらけになったら丁寧に手入れし、使い込むほどに自分の手に馴染み、色や形が唯一無二のものへと育っていく。
その過程で僕は「モノは手をかければ育っていく」「愛着は時間をかけて生まれる」という感覚を自然と学びました。

グラブと向き合った時間が、僕にとってモノとの関係性を考えるきっかけになったのです。
そして、やりたいことを好きなだけやらせてくれた両親への感謝も、この経験から強く心に刻まれました。

IROS DYEINGでは、このとき得た「手をかけて育てる価値」を、染めを通して皆さまに届けたいと考えています。

The Glove That Taught Me the Value of Nurturing Things (1996–2012)

(Vol.1)

When I was in first grade, my parents bought me my very first baseball glove.
Driven by the dream of becoming the best in Japan, I devoted myself to baseball for 16 years, all the way through college—and at the center of that journey was always this glove.

Each time it was covered in dirt, I carefully cleaned it.
The more I used it, the more it adapted to my hand, developing a unique shape and color of its own.
Through that process, I learned something essential: objects grow and change depending on the care we give them, and true attachment takes time to develop.

The years I spent with that glove shaped how I think about my relationship with things.
They also deepened my gratitude to my parents, who allowed me to pursue what I loved wholeheartedly.

At IROS DYEING, I carry forward this lesson—the value of nurturing with care—and aim to share it with others through the art of dyeing.
